Foodles Posted November 10, 2011 Is there any way to stop monsters from telefragging themselves in map30 using prboom+? It makes creating monster closets quite tricky since all the monster come through at once and they all kill themselves. 0 Share this post Link to post
Creaphis Posted November 10, 2011 There's a compatibility setting that lets you turn this off. It might also be turned off by certain complevels. 0 Share this post Link to post

Vordakk Posted November 11, 2011 Or you could take the long drawn out approach of making each individual monster have his own unique warping linedef(uniquely tagged of course) and his own unique teleport destination sector. You'd create individual sectors for each monster of course, so there'd be no chance of an errant monster wandering over to a warping linedef that he shouldn't go to. That way only Harry Hell Knight can teleport to the sector tagged 31, and only Billy Baron can teleport to the sector tagged 25. 0 Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted November 11, 2011 Use more teleport destinations and/or slow the rate at which monsters leave their closets so they have a chance to disperse. 0 Share this post Link to post
traversd Posted November 11, 2011 God this is giving me some bad flashbacks. FU map30! edit: 1 option. http://www.mediafire.com/?sf6nbb3sw9ncvbr doesn't remove the possibility of telefragging if they pool around the destination but slows the throughput. 0 Share this post Link to post
RjY Posted November 11, 2011 Use a floor pusher or wind effect that throws the monster off the destination point as fast as possible? (off the top of my head, untested, requires Boom features to work) 0 Share this post Link to post
