map30 monster telefrag

Is there any way to stop monsters from telefragging themselves in map30 using prboom+? It makes creating monster closets quite tricky since all the monster come through at once and they all kill themselves.

There's a compatibility setting that lets you turn this off. It might also be turned off by certain complevels.

Or you could take the long drawn out approach of making each individual monster have his own unique warping linedef(uniquely tagged of course) and his own unique teleport destination sector. You'd create individual sectors for each monster of course, so there'd be no chance of an errant monster wandering over to a warping linedef that he shouldn't go to. That way only Harry Hell Knight can teleport to the sector tagged 31, and only Billy Baron can teleport to the sector tagged 25.

Use more teleport destinations and/or slow the rate at which monsters leave their closets so they have a chance to disperse.

Use a floor pusher or wind effect that throws the monster off the destination point as fast as possible? (off the top of my head, untested, requires Boom features to work)
