Marcaek Posted January 18, 2012 I borrowed some flats from doompotpourri.wad, specifically FLAT15 and ZGREY1 and 2. After converting them to Doom format, they show up garbled in Doom builder. According to SLADE they're still being read Doom graphics, rather than Doom flats. I've noticed that although they're 64x64, the filesize in SLADE is less than 4096 bytes. What exactly am I screwing up here? 0 Share this post Link to post
hawkwind Posted January 18, 2012 I just did a quick test using flat15 ... First off, the textures in doompotpourri.wad are all .png graphic files. Did you first convert them to .bmp files ? Load the .bmp file(s) into SLADE and THEN save as a doom flat. I use XWE and this method worked for me. It should work in SLADE as well. 0 Share this post Link to post
Herculine Posted January 18, 2012 IIRC, SLADE3 can convert them to Doom flats. http://slade.mancubus.net/index.php?page=downloads 0 Share this post Link to post
Marcaek Posted January 18, 2012 I'm using SLADE 3. I've already tried converting them outside the WAD, and none of the 30-ish other flats SLADE converted gave me any trouble. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted January 18, 2012 Works for me. Make sure that you haven't confused Doom Flat and Doom Gfx when converting. It always default to Doom Gfx when opening the conversion window. hawkwind said:First off, the textures in doompotpourri.wad are all .png graphic files. Did you first convert them to .bmp files ?
