100 hands community project

Here's part 1. Go!

I didn't add new textures, and it's in doom 2 format right now. Feel free to change that and add textures, but remember you have 30 minutes.

E: Balance your portions for each skill too.

Rules:
-Anyone can join
-Boom compatible areas
-add skill levels
-fill previous areas with monsters and stuff if not done already
-add areas and if you have time add monsters and ammo etc.
-new textures are permitted, but remember you only have 30 min so don't overdo it
-have fun,
-rinse, repeat.

Here's how you should work in order of importance:

1. Add monsters and items and decorations to areas that don't have them

2. Make areas
3. Add any textures you want for your areas
4. Add monsters and items and decorations to your areas.

Part 2. Take note of certain things that I left up for someone to finish at some point down the line. I didn't add any monsters or items, I only managed to add a few areas.

Okay, I'm gonna add monsters and other things to whats there so far just so we have them there. Everyone, please add monsters to the previous area if not there yet. Here is the order you should do things:


-monsters and things for previous areas
-any textures you want
-your areas
-monsters and things for your areas

I am going to add monsters and things for Hellbent's area, but please, the next person to join should add stuff to Walters area first.

oh yeah, one more thing, after someone has updated with a new area, remove your earlier post so people don't work on old versions by accident.

I'll probably get a chance to work on this this evening. I would have over the weekend but didn't have internet access and was otherwise busy. I'm sort of thinking of this one as a test run to help us better define the one I started in the original thread.

Clearly you misinterpreted Boom. You've got flats on walls and walls on floors. Also, you've left several sidedefs without textures. Your door doesn't work because you set the trigger to walk over when the floor's covered by the ceiling, so, fixed that for you too.

ops... that was my first attemp (really the second, but in my first map nothing worked) to make a vanilla compatible section... also i tryed to make it in the time limit, i have a lot to learn .-.

Reading the title, I thought this might have been one of those "Let's everybody get together and all do an E2M2 remake. But then I was all like. 1/2 an hour. I can do that. (more like 40 minutes in my case.)

Just did some housework on the level. Detailing, neatening, aligning. And I added one secret, with a rad suit, which seemed like a good idea seeing as there is red lava nearby...

- added a basic blue skull key room (leaded from the teleport room you read down there)
- added more detailing and things in the teleport room after that brown door in the library section, and fixed more bug stuff in the map like some errors in linedefs and stuff
