can doors have a small keys like in zelda games

i've been working on a fpv zelda mod of the first game
but I've gotten stuck on small keys (not like the red blue or yellow keys)
I've made the keys like ammo so you can hold more then 1
what I wanna do is have the door check your inventory to see if you have a small key if so the door takes one and opens if not it remains closed
what I'm stuck on is when the script acts for item, type, ect
this would also answer about bomb walls too

You're talking of scripts. What port are you using? ZDoom?

Your keys should be inventory items (but there's no reason to make them ammo). In your door scripts, use CheckInventory and TakeInventory.

Since a source port wasn't specifically mentioned I should add that Risen3D does this as well via its own scripting method.

thanks but I've gotten keys working with the chips19 wad ex
but bomb walls I haven't tried
one thing I'm stuck on now is moving floors for the blocks you have to move to open doors and secret passages
btw this block has 17 sectors with with 8 of them sloping
