Doom 3DO glitch

This happened the last time I played Doom on the 3DO. I just started the game up and every sprite that was visible became stuck in the border. Never seen this before so thought it would be worth posting here.

Well the screen it's played on makes it look like it was played on a emulator, but we can't be too sure.

Anyways, that is one fucked up glitch!

Not stuck.
The background doesn't get redrawn so you can see the last update.
Never seen that one before.

What's interesting is that it reveals that sprites aren't clipped to the border but rather to the screen edges, and the border would usually hide that fact.

Yeah, it's running on actual hardware. Sorry, forgot to mention.

Interesting. Never saw that on original 3DO hardware or emulator.
Just curious, are you using a Panasonic brand 3DO or a clone?
