Can someone tell me some Doom clones?

I'm kind of bored,so I was wonfering if you guys can name a few of the so-called Doom clones.They'd better be preferably more obscure.Wolf clones work too.

I think of Doom clones as games using the same engine as Doom or the same format, ie FPS. Also they would have been released within a couple of years of Doom or Doom 2. To speak of Halo as a Doom clone is absurd.

Technically speaking, EVERY FPS made after Doom is a "Doom clone" ;-) At least that's how the industry once used the term.

Then almost anything up to Unreal (about 1999) will satisfy you, as 3D acceleration wasn't quite standardized until that date and most games also included a software renderer.

Hmm...but by that logic, everything except maybe the very first sort-of-executable binary blob spurted out by some id's developer compiler that vaguely resembled Doom was the One and True Doom. All the rest, including the alphas, betas, Doom v0.99. 1.1 etc. are merely "clones" of that proto-Doom ;-)

That would be interesting to see a sort of massive videogame tree of all the innovative NON-clones, the ones that pretty much made new genres, but there'd probably be a lot of arbitrary boundaries and overlap.

Its been longly considered that Halo (esp. Mastercheifs design) is a rip-off of doom.

Now as far as DOS FPSs (as we call them)-
wolfenstein and its mods and versions are great

Hexen
BLOOD

I can go on... I've played them all.
