Kyka Posted April 4, 2012 Yeah. I am just placing stuff for deathmatch in an SP map, and I wasn't sure whether regular SP items spawn in multiplayer. (Has been forever since I deathmatched anything.) I think they do, but thought I would ask just to be sure. 0 Share this post Link to post
Memfis Posted April 4, 2012 Yes they do. In prboom-plus you can check how the level looks in multiplayer by adding -solo-net parameter. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kira Posted April 4, 2012 In fact you have to check specific flags in order to make them absent from multiplayer: "Not Deathmatch" and "Not Cooperative". Useful if you think few items would unbalance a multiplayer game. 0 Share this post Link to post

Also these flags require Boom compatibility or above. With vanilla/Chocolate/complevel 2/etc., they should have no effect. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kira Posted April 4, 2012 I didn't know until now, thanks for the information! 0 Share this post Link to post

Which is imitating vanilla's ixpsetup -nodes 1 option! PrBoom/+ already had the option through its server, but it was added as a direct parameter just to make it easier to use. 0 Share this post Link to post
