Koko Ricky Posted May 30, 2012 It's nice not being the resident metalhead here. Heavy metal has been a big part of my life since I was in middle school, and after 13 years of worship I doubt I'll lost interest in the genre. The favorites that immediately come to mind include: (Traditional) Black Sabbath, Angel Witch, Judas Priest, Motorhead (Thrash metal) Rigor Mortis, Exodus, Overkill, Slayer (Black metal) Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Darkthrone, Revenge (Death metal) Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Autopsy, Obituary (Grindcore) Napalm Death, Carcass, Impetigo, Haemorrhage, Agoraphobic Nosebleed (Experimental and Avant Garde) Mr. Bungle, Gnaw Their Tongues, Sunn 0))) 0 Share this post Link to post

Is this trolling, or are you actually under the impression that Linkin Park's music qualifies as metal? Distorted guitars with lower-than-standard tuning and shouted vocals does not a metal make. 0 Share this post Link to post
Malinku Posted July 8, 2012 I was board so I created a list of legally free album I've found. http://metalinkusteel.blogspot.com/p/free-metal.html 0 Share this post Link to post
Nomad Posted July 8, 2012 Malinku said:I was board so I created a list of legally free album I've found. http://metalinkusteel.blogspot.com/p/free-metal.html Nice. I may have to scour through that list, I've been depressed ever since Freemetalalbums died. I found so much good music (though a lot of shit too) on that blog. :( 0 Share this post Link to post

Whoo Posted July 10, 2012 I'm awful at putting metal groups into sub-genres, so here's a list of everyone I usually listen to: Dark Tranquility Scar Symmetry Sybreed Meshuggah Lamb of God In Flames Nightwish Soilwork Judas Priest Megadeath Five Finger Death Punch Dragonforce Scars on Broadway Ironically my favorite musician/artist (Serj Tankian) doesn't do metal even though it's my favorite genre. 0 Share this post Link to post

Use Posted August 27, 2012 Uh, unless that album is freely distributed it's not a good idea to link to a torrent here. 0 Share this post Link to post
General Rainbow Bacon Posted August 27, 2012 Yeah, true. I'd remove that link actually and just mention it's out for the future. 0 Share this post Link to post

darkreaver Posted August 28, 2012 Been into metal since the kindergarden, so late 80s to present... Started out by listening to my dads Dio, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, etc vinyls, then I eventually got into heavier stuff like Sepultura, Death etc. I`m still very into it, but I`m extremely picky. I absolutely dread modern and "good" production in metal. My fav genres would be: old school death metal, old school black metal, old school heavy and epic metal. Old school all the way. And no I dont want to try to explain "what do you mean old school?". A FEW favs: Repugnant Autopsy Obituary (Slowly We Rot) Death (Scream Bloody Gore) Darkthrone Brocas Helm Judas Priest Dio Bathory Dissection 0 Share this post Link to post
Genki Posted August 30, 2012 In a band, what member does greater efforts than the other members? 1- The singer 2- The guitarist 3- The pianist 4- The bassist 5- The drummer ---choose only ONE that you think is so--- 0 Share this post Link to post

Everyone else can jam together but you can't really have a band without a drummer. 0 Share this post Link to post
ducon Posted August 30, 2012 The drummer: he tries not to disappear in a cloudy green booom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Aldaraia Posted August 30, 2012 Meshuggah Dark Suns Novembers Doom Morbid Angel Celldweller Riverside Sepultura Hypocrisy Cynic Megaherz Just few of the bands I mainly listen to at the time, not solidies my inspiration for map making like music. Saw Meshuggah last April, and I know for damn sure I'll be going to their next concert when tour the USA again. 0 Share this post Link to post

Springy Posted January 25, 2013 I'm the kind of guy who listens to pretty much everything, metal wise there's a lot so I'll put a handful down. Bolt Thrower Meshuggah Cradle of Filth Napalm Death The Partisan Turbine Megadeth Metallica Anthrax (Seen live) Slayer (Seen live) Rammstein (Seen Live) Iron Maiden (Seen Live) Black Sabbath Orange Goblin Electric Wizard Helloween Gamma Ray Trigger the Bloodshed Job For a Cowboy Beneath the Massacre Aborted Trivium Skinless The Faceless Whitechapel Those are off the top of my head I can't really think of more and have to go college anyway. I get my music taste off my dad which is pretty much listen to most genres. 0 Share this post Link to post
