Don't sell us short, those bands (especially Dr. Know) are not at all obscure. I did only find out about D.I. relatively recently. though.

I was going to post some old school swedish DM but then I started listening to Sadistic Intent, thanks to Kontra Kommando and Possessed above. And then some Demolition Hammer because you can never go wrong with Demolition Hammer.

edit 2: fuck yeah Veinen! Ancient Black Earth! My favorite SadInt song is on a 7" split with a german black metal band, of all things. The song is "Eternal Darkness".

Also Demolition Hammer ruled. I like Epidemic of Voilence the most, though.

That's a great song darkreaver, hadn't actually heard that before. Pretty much everything SadInt does is fucking golden though so I'm not very surprised that I liked it. And I love both Epidemic of Violence and Tortured Existence. That Necrology demo stuff is still probably my favorite by Demolition Hammer, same great songs as in TE but with some extra attitude.

I must agree With you on the demo vs. TE. Never really liked TE much. I Guess the Scott Burns Production simply isnt raw enough for the material. Just look at some old live videos from the era; they totally killed on stage. Too bad they didnt get the same rawness on tape with TE.
