The Official 'Trying to Find a Specific WAD' Thread

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have the missing wads in the Days of Xornox series by Frank Laing if they even exist? They are probably:

  • Ice Boss
  • Desert
  • Desert Boss
  • Jungle
  • Jungle Boss
  • Heaneth
  • Xornox

Hello, Doomworld. I am looking for the complete first Mapping Out WAD from 2023, the link does not work anymore because Discord. Does anyone has the full version that BluePineapple72 compiled back in March 18, 2023? If so, thank you for this cooperation.

I'm completely lost on what WAD was showing at 1:30. Anyone know the name for it?

Can someone reupload these wads from 2007? The links are dead.

The one from @exl is Demons of Problematique, which is still around; unless you're specifically looking for the development/test version from this thread and not the final version.

No idea for @impkilla's; the author didn't seem to stick around a long time.

So I accidentally deleted my doom folder and lost a mod that i can't seem to find, all it did was add the Doom PSX Doomguy head gibbing sprites to the game, so when you are gibbed it would play that special animation in the Hud. I know it exists but i don't remember what it is called, so if anybody has something like that please let me know!

Looking for a Doom mod that replaces the Slayer's face in the hud to resemble his appearance in Doom 3 I saw it on Moddb once but now I can't find it

I have 2 maps that I remember from some Youtube videos from years ago.

Presumably, videos or maps for the 2000's and I might've watched them in the mid 2010's.

The first one:

* Looks like it features from houses on green hills.

* Maybe it was an abandoned town and the houses looked detailed.

* Think Doomguy had circular glasses.

* I know the chaingun's sprite was changed and it reminds me of the Brass Beast from TF2 though it's probably not the exact model being used.

* Might've had a cowboy/wild west theme

* From the video, I think either the secret notification or power up pickup sound were changed to a line from Blood's Caleb. Maybe him saying "that's right" or something.

Second one:

* An urban/city setting with the sky/background presumably gray/cloudy.

* Doomguy also might've had circular glasses.

* I think the "main building" of the map had a "pyramid"-like structure and slaughter-ish based gameplay.

Part of why I bring them up is because I sometimes associate some custom maps with dreams I have.

(Links valid for 7 days)

For some reason, Wounded Factory says it needs a password in order for me to extract the file?

EDIT: nevermind, im blind and didn't see the "pass123" on the zip folder :p sorry...

This sounds like VooDoo Guns, specifically MAP02. No "that's right" voice line, but the "oof" sound for a failed use action was replaced with Caleb saying "it's stuck," and Eternal (the creator) did use the "that's right" voice line (which is actually from PowerSlave) as the secret notification in another WAD of his, Epic 2.

This might be MAP01 from the same WAD.

I THINK it’s from the last few years, but I could be wrong. All I remember is that one level involved changing sizes. It was puzzly, you had to access certain areas when you were big, and certain areas where you were small. I had THOUGHT it was in Intergalactic Xenology 2 but I just played through it and that’s not it.

Is MAP12 (Sizable Complication) from the Trilogy what you're thinking of?

Hi everyone.

Okay, I'm looking for a WAD that I played when i was a kid.

It was a remake for Knee Deep In The Dead, but much harder, with mandatory secrets. For instance there were 6 or 7 cyberdemons in outside area of E1M8.

I remember that this wad was called something like "DIMINATOR.wad" (dont remember correctly, it was more than 25 years ago), but I couldn't find it anywhere. I even searched it on Maximum Doom and D-Zone, nothing.

Is there any chance to find it?

I have no idea if such a WAD exists, but is there one that's all Dead Simple clones?

Awesome. Definitely.

It was not on any famous compilations, right?

Probably, I'm not very familiar with shovelware compilations but I've seen this wad mentioned several times, which indicates it was likely widely distributed at the time.
