Charles Carreon, the lawyer who sent a legal threat to The Oatmeal on behalf of FunnyJunk (FunnyJunk was upset that The Oatmeal had complained about the undisputed fact that its users routinely post Oatmeal comics to the site and threatened a libel suit unless they got $20,000 from The Oatmeal), has made good on his threat to comb the statute books until he could find something to sue Oatmeal creator Matthew Inman over.

Seriously, the American Cancer Society? What the fuck, you are the one stealing other people's comics and posting them as your own.

Considering there was a case where a burglar injured himself falling through his victim's window and successfully sued, I wouldn't be surprised if funnyjunk managed to pull this off.

FunnyJunk is a treasure trove of possible DMCAs; they have no right to sue anybody. Like eBaum's, the only thing keeping that website from being torn apart is their warehouse of lawyers.
