Best looking map

Sorry if this seems like spam with my recent best doom ep.1 level poll and everything... but, anyway, this is cool so I just had to post it =)

Which, IYO, is the Doom/Doom2/Final Doom level that has the coolest looking map? That is, the geometry of the automap.

And the opposite, which has the ugliest looking?

Is there a relation between good looking map and good level?

Uh, geometry-wise... heh, I dunno, but during normal play, I think Spirit World and Inmost Dens look the best out of the Doom2 maps. On the other hand, I like just about every map in Ultimate Doom except the rather redundant E1 maps.

I don't remember much from Final Doom, but I remember being impressed with TNT's Map09, so I'll list that too.

IMO, good looking UDoom maps include:

E1M1, E1M3, E1M4, E1M5, E1M6, E1M7, E1M8
E2M1, E2M2, E2M3, E2M4, E2M6, E2M8
E3M1, E3M7
E4M4, E4M6, E4M8, E4M9

And the rest are bad looking. Especially E3M4.

Anyway, my choice would be...some level from Thy Flesh Consumed I guess.

Doom2's best looking levels are imo map11 and map28.

Udoom had many good looking ones, e4m6 and e2m4 for example.
