What's that song? (now with me humming the main part)

I thought it was by Yazz (or is it Yaz?) but google is not being very helpful. It's a very synthy song with unique rhythm and it's from the mid to late 80s or early 90s. The refrain or main part goes "something something electric lights" the song is at once energetic but solemn somehow. Hard to explain.
