Prboom HOM

[Retog]

Some textures (especially ultimate doom)are shown as HOM in prboom when they are textured using standard doom textures. This seems to happen randomly.
Any help?

Screenshots? Test wad? Can't help much without either.

Are you loading a pwad that includes its own textures? This might a TEXTURE1/PNAMES mismatch, like trying to load a wad that uses Doom2 as its TEXTURE1 base.

They are the standard textures.

It's probably what Essel suggested. The textures that are missing from the pic are ones that appear in Doom 2 (but not Doom 1), so it looks like you're either loading a PWAD for Doom 1 that includes dexture definitions are are doing something strange like using Doom 1 as the IWAD and using -file to load Doom 2 (or vice-versa).

Can't say more unless you're able to give more detail -- what exactly do you mean by "happens randomly" -- is it literally random or can you trigger it with something?

Also, for future stuff, if you're wanting to upload images, you're best off using a dedicated image hosting service like imgur so people don't have to explicitly download 'em.
