How Do I Change Skies?

I've tried to change it before and it worked, but it made my wad explode, that is, the map screwed up and deleted itself. Thats not important, Does anyone know how to change sky textures properly? Sorry for my stupidity, and thank you in advance for your help.

There is a couple of ways, I think they're all equally the same when it comes to difficulty implementation wise.

1. Replacing the original textures with your own
2. If your using ZDoom you can define your sky textures in the MAPINFO
3. Again with ZDoom use ACS http://zdoom.org/wiki/ChangeSky

Side note: There is no stupidity with this question only stupid answers =)

There's also the MBF Sky Transfer linedef actions, which are supported by several ports.
