Size of weapons!

How do you like the size of weapons in a game? Are you to bigarsed motorcycle-sized weapons or do you prefer more realistically sized weapons?

I used to like big weapons, still do but only with *some* weapons.
Now I find it ridiculous if most weapons are big as Hell. I prefer futuristic weapons to be small and compact rather than as big as damn horse.

I mean I love Iron Man's Proton Cannon from the Capcom fighting games, but if it's something along the lines of MOH:AA I'm all for realistically "perspectivized" weapons.

Heh, if the BFG is in the next Doom game, it had better be huge.
As for the other 'old' guns if they're there, I'd prefer them to range from a 'realistic' size to be of a more handy size.
Like I said, I used to like big guns, but after two Quake games sporting nothing but big guns it gets kinda tiresome imo.

Too many big guns would also fit like shit in the new Doom game since it's aiming at more realism imo.

Now I'm confused. Are you talkin' about a REAL Heads Up Display which is placed in the top of the screen or the status display placed at the bottom of the screen wrongly called a HUD by just about everyone else?
