Ultimately, the problem with Israel is that all the international community will ever do is politely condemn their actions. Whether it be airstrikes or illegal land grabs. No one's going to step in and actually prevent them from turning the middle east into a never ending shitstorm. The UN can pass as many resolutions as they like and Israel will continue flout every single one they don't agree with. They're basically a spoilt child who gets away with bad behaviour because there's no consequences for them. Sadly, the US are never going to put them over their knee and teach them some discipline. I'm assuming that's because Israel can seemingly commit all the atrocities the US would like to be able to get away with but can't.
