[WIP] Hectic - Download Available

Recommended Posts

Hello, Doom World Community!

This is my first post on these forums, I have been a big DOOM fan since I was a kid, and have always wanted to make my own levels. Recently I got started making a new wad, I call it Hectic!

So far, I've made a 3 level demo. It's a fun hobby, and I've enjoyed the process. I wanted some feedback on my levels and to see what others think of my work.

I'm looking for honest feedback, and constructive criticism from anyone in this community who has experience with making doom levels. Also I am looking for anyone who wants to help work on this project.

Downloads and Information below.

Information about the WAD;
I use Skulltag to play Doom, and these maps were made for use with the Skulltag engine. I recommend that these levels be played on Ultra Violence difficulty. These maps were intended to be played with jump and crouch enabled. Also I made these maps with certain texture packs / models I have been using along with the Skulltag engine.
(Although the Skulltag engine / textures are not required to play these levels)

Hectic Demo WAD:

Skulltag Engine;

Texture Pack;

Not required, but I also use these 3D item models shown in this video which also has the links included;
(except I modified it so I don't have to use the 3D monster models)

- If you need help setting any of this up or how to use the texture packs let me know, I don't mind helping anyone out.

Hope you guys enjoy,
- All help / feedback appreciated. - Raynor.

I've never heard of that before, but no they are not related. That's is neat though, I didn't know their was a level in any Doom game with the name Hectic.

I'm having trouble getting screens through Skulltag, I tried taking the screens through Doom Builder visual mode, but that wont do it justice. If you are interested in how the maps look, I recommend you just try out the wad, you can see how it looks, plays, etc. Enjoy.
