Badboy Posted July 23, 2013 i think the quakers on live stream will watch it, out of curiosity. hope we can see some FFA qualifier. and check the comments on esreality! you always find some insider knowledge. releated topics http://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-general/64490-doom-2-tournament-at-quakecon/2/ http://forums.intldoomleague.com/index.php?topic=907.0 there is a picture to add for the news https://registration.quakecon.org/?page=tournaments 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted July 23, 2013 Unless Jehar and his Tastyspleen team comes to cover it, I doubt you'll see more than just the finals on the official QCon stream. That's what they tend to do with the less popular games at QCon. (Se, Brink and ETQW from more recent events) 0 Share this post Link to post
Badboy Posted July 23, 2013 good point. maybe theres hope for yehar. if not. ddk & zoot have no deeper knowledge about classic doom, but they can grab a doom dueller to help with the shoutcast OR they do the alternative which is "say what you see on screen" instead of game analysis. this method ruled esport shoutcasting a long time :) they are smart, i trust them. etqw tourmament, i think it was a bit bigger than you thought. tossspot did a nice job in 2007. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP1d-O9Ngss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_AJvaf0bCo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Oep1mbaYOY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Thb23OQfi2M 0 Share this post Link to post

kristus Posted July 23, 2013 Well, ETQW 2007 was the beta tournament, they were still pimping the game to customers then. 2008 was the year they had a real tournament with Promod and that was entirely covered by volunteer organisation ET.TV (Greasedscotsman et al). Except the Xbox championships wich weren't covered at all to my knowledge. Also Tosspot is a seasoned WolfET caster so his knowledge should have transferred over from that quite nicely. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fluffles Posted July 23, 2013 glad they settled for what they did and didnt just go for doom2.exe or something similar. DevastatioNs got a great chance of winning this now unless maybe Jkist3 if he goes aswell. Wish I could go but even if I did win the tournament then on I'd not be able to cover any costs which sucks ass n ain't payin 20 million squids to go to bloody texas. 0 Share this post Link to post
