[SOLVED] Need help changing the controls in Master Levels for Doom 2 (Steam version)

Recommended Posts

So I only just got this working (it used to crash whenever I tried to run it before) and the controls are utter arse. It would seem I have to use WASD to move around except A and D strafe, and use the left and right arrow keys to turn since up and down don't do anything. I looked at the controls in a config and it came up with a bunch of numbers, but I don't know what to change. I want to have it like the original, ie. arrow keys to move around. Ctrl, shift and space are still fine, I just need to rebind forward and backwards to up and down arrows.

Here's what DEFAULT.CFG has inside:

sfx_volume 8
music_volume 8
show_messages 1

Download Chocolate Doom and use chocolate-setup to make a vanilla compatible config. (You're supposed to be using the mouse with the default Steam config, BTW)

Ok, I used a Chocolate Doom config in the vanilla version, which changed it to the vanilla config, but the sound didn't work so I looked in the new one, and copied the numbers into the old one so now it works. Thanks.

Ah yeah, I didn't think about sound related settings, sorry. Was just trying to make it a bit easier than having to run the original setup.exe in DOSBox.
