the old days

I found this in the letters section of an old (march 1996) PC zone magazine. some bloke build a life size arachnotron in his garage. just thought i'd share it with you.

I remember having seen this in the mag PC Zone years ago - yeah it doesn't look too scary.

wonder what he did with it. You don't exactly build a big ass spider and set it out as a piece of lawn furniture....but the idea of a cyberdemon on my lawn actin as a birdstand sounds kinda, lame.

Hmm, it's round, but I don't see the obligatory six barrels.
It looks like an arachno to me, the Spider mastermind doesn't have blue eyes.

My eyesight must be rather poor then. I saved the image to my harddrive so that I could view it properly, I zoomed in to fit the screen and looked closely at it - no sign of six barrels.

adjust your monitor brightness... they are there all right.

becouse i'm such a loving person... I've sharped up the bit and mucked around with the contrast. you can now sorta see the little holes, and the barrels as well http://ct_red_pants.tripod.com/sharp.htm

Well of COURSE you're not going to see them when you zoom! It'll be pixelated!
