LIFELONG STRIFE- 1.3 2/2/14

I bring to you, my very first gameplay modification for (G)Zdoom, Lifelong Strife!
As you can tell from the title, this is a Strife modification, and I took special care not to break it. Guess not as much as I thought. :P
If my mod does break the game, tell me, and I'll and it to the Bugtracker below:

Now, for some descriptions of behavior changes:
Punch Dagger- Primary punches, while secondary does the original stab. Backstabs are now toggled through a keybind.
Pistol- New weapon, you start with this as well as your dagger. Reloads after 8 shots, but there is manual reloading. (Original weapon by Ghastly_Dragon)
Crossbow- Primary fire is electric bolts, secondary is poison. If you don't have the arrow equipped when using it, it switches.
Electric bolts stun low rank enemies, and can deactivate small machines (see below).
Assault Gun- Reloads every 30 shots. You can aim down the sights, and fire in 3 round bursts.
SMG- New weapon. Stronger than the Assault Gun, but much less accurate, and reloads after 20 shots.
Mini-Missile Launcher- Fires slower than before, but stronger weaving missiles.
Thrasher- New weapon. Shotgun weapon, reloads after 8 shots, you can interrupt the reload to fire/deselect it. (Original weapon by Snarboo)
Sniper Rifle- New weapon. Powerful, long range rifle with a 5-round clip. Shares Slot 5 with the Grenade Launcher, randomly spawns with Thrasher and Assault Gun
Grenade Launcher- Unchanged, except phosphorus grenades are an AltFire instead of a SisterWeapon.
Flamer- Unchanged, but the flame on the gun moves while firing.
Mauler- Works like the crossbow and Grenade Launcher.
Sigil-You can now switch between all firing modes of the pieces you get. (I.E you have 3 pieces, you can use 1st/2nd/3rd attack)
Switch with AltFire. Major thanks to FishyClockwork for the "Modding the Sigil Made Easy" Resource!
Acolyte- Higher-ranked ones fire full-auto. The basic grunts are now randomly replaced with the two below.
Guard- New enemy, a basic enemy with a shotgun. Drops shells. (Original monster by Captain Toenail)
Elite Guard- New enemy, like the above, but has a full-auto gun, and strafes. Drops a clip, shells, or a Pistol Ammo box. (Original monster by Gothic)
Stalker- Can fire bullets when on the ground. Can be deactivated with the Crossbow, then reprogrammed to fight for you. 
Assassin- New enemy, strafes, fires his gun repeatedly even after you take cover, but stops after a while. Drops an SMG/SMG clips sometimes, and drops pistol clips as well.

Sentinel-Unchanged, but is randomly replaced with the Mini Sentinel below.
Mini Sentinel-New enemy, weaker than the Sentinel, but harder to hit, strafes, fires 3 lasers at a time faster than the Sentinel. Can be deactivated, just like the Stalker.
Turret-Can be deactivated, and used on the ground.
Crusader-Unchanged, but is randomly replaced by the Prophet.
Prophet- New enemy, a large mech with a bullet weapon and missiles on its "Shoulders".
Templar-Randomly replaced by the Laser-Scout, and has the +MISSILEMORE and +MISSILEEVENMORE flags.
Laser-Scout- New Enemy, fires lasers full auto, faster than the Sentinel, and stronger.
Reaver- Randomly replaced by a Reaver Leader.
Reaver Leader- New enemy, a Blue Reaver that shoots repeatedly, strafes, and may fire a MaulerTorpedo.
Inquisitor- Slightly faster and tougher
Programmer- Flies back and forth, and can summon acolytes.
Bishop- Fires two missiles at once.
Macil- Fires his gun at the same rate as you.
Loremaster- Strafes, and is slightly tougher.
Rebels- Four new variations, along with the originals and extras with beacons (to be revealed in 1.1.4):
--Shield Rebels have shields, they can block like Hexen's centaur.
--Ranger Rebels are slow to move and take aim, but fire an accurate, strong shot.
--Elite Rebels strafe, and fire repeated 3-shot bursts.
--Commando Rebels are the rarest. They fire bullets repeatedly (but may stop), can shoot a grenade, and throw a beacon that summons Rebels.

-New pistol sprites! Changed old Demon Eclipse pistol to the older Demon Eclipse pistol. Colored gray, has Strife hands, and uses the reload animation from DE.
-Pistol sounds replaced with new DE Pistol sounds
-Shotgun has better reloading animation
-Shell capacity halved
-SMG ammo capacity halved
-Crossbow has better reloading animation
-Assault Gun HUD sprites lowered
-SMG has slightly less accuracy
-All bob speeds changed to 2
-Backstab button is now held down rather than toggled

-New Assault Gun Reskin
--Sprites extended, animation change
--Replacing firing mode switch is aim-down-sights, which gives 3x zoom, reduces spread and gives a minor damage increase
--Reload animation moved to TEXTURES
--New silver color
-Sniper changed
--Zoom moved to 6x to balance with AR sights
--Reload tweaked
-Grenade Launcher animation improved
-Bug with accuracy stat- would eventually break bullet attacks due to spread formula
-SMG accuracy check now compressed to a spread formula rather than 11 different states
-Pistol reload slightly improved

1.1.3 ----> 1.2
-Simple edits (i.e. recolors and the like) done in TEXTURES to save space
-Totally new melee system:
--Primary fire is a quick punch, useful for stunlocking enemies
--Secondary fire is the original stab attack
--New, smooth animations in TEXTURES
--Backstab is a bindable key that toggles the secondary fire to the original backstab attack (you can still punch)
-New weapon: Sniper Rifle (see weapons)
--Ammo repalces Targeter, since the Targeter is useless with ZDoom's crosshair
-Fixed "glow-in-the-dark" palette issues (I noticed them now that I'm using ZDoom again rather than GZDoom)
-Boss buffs:
--Programmer can now spawn acolytes as well as his original attack
--Macil fights non-spectral for a while, then becomes spectral, then launches 4 Sigil Mode 3 attacks as he explodes, spawning the spectre
--Inquisitor has a Health and Speed change
--Bishop fires two missiles now
--Loremaster has A_FastChase (it looked goofy on ground enemies, but to me it looks fine on flying enemies)
-Fixed bug where Backstabs would not freeze the player on a successful kill (typo in code)
-Fixed Stalker inventory icon not showing
-FIXED THE DARN BEACONS
-Improved muzzle flash effect applied to weapons using zrrion's tutorial
-Adjusted ammo caps- they were way too high (200 shells for Thrasher? 250 bullets for SMG? NOPE)
-Fixed a HORRIBLE bug with the AR in which the damage formula would eventually end up with negative values, making the gun an utter piece of trash
-Changed the pistol behavior- it now has an 8 round clip, does not refire, but can kill an acolyte in about 4-5 shots.

-Fixed Mauler/Sigil alerting enemies on firing mode switch.

Feel bad no one's replied at all. No love for Strife.

It's a nice wad. Personally I think the unreplaced weapons need some more tweaks since they seem to stand out amongst the new/upgraded weapons but hey.

Yeah, exactly. I struggle to get behind these mods when the stock gameplay has hardly been scratched.

When I get really good at mapping a big Strife hub is the first thing I' m going to do. I'm going to need a lot more practice for that, though.
