Oregon? Heh, I've never been to the United States. Anyone know what Oregon's like?

Oregon is awesome. Of the 5 states I've lived in, it's my favorite.

MBTI: INTP

Suggested Place of Residence: Rhode Island

Actual Place of Residence: New Jersey

Is this test using MBTI as a personality indicator or a different personality test?

It's an abridged version of the test for the "Big Five" or "OCEAN" model of personailty.

Utah? What the fuck? I met one person from Utah and they were an emotional wreck. Not saying that should be my basis for judgement, just sayin....

The only person I met in Utah was from the neighboring town where I grew up in MA, (population 8,000).

If I someday move to states I always figured that Montana because of forests and mountains or Massachusetts and particulary Boston would be nice place to live. California because of the constant bright days and warmth. Anyone here resides on those locations? I want to escape the darkness of winter. You dont have to endure that bullshit in the southern hemisphere or generally in the south

Nevada, apparently.
Strange, I don't like to gamble. Honestly, I don't even live in America; I'm not even an american.

Out of all of the places I've been to, Nevada is probably my favorite. I went to all of the major casinos, and saw the Hoover dam. The Las Vegas strip was really awesome; I had a good time.

The Las Vegas Strip is the most depressing place I have ever been.

idk, i liked it, it sort of reminded me of NYC, with all of the sex ads.

I was doing some hardcore jay walking over there. I'm not used to acknowledging pedestrian signals, despite the fact I live in a highly congested area. If nobody is coming, I'll just cross the street. But everyone seemed to follow the law to the t. I didn't realize they fined people heavily for that. Luckily, that wasn't the case.

Not to rain on the parade but...

"The study found that people with similar personalities tend to cluster into large regions."

That may be a valid finding but I hope that it is not their conclusion that people consciously move into regions with the same attitudes, when it is obvious that it is the location that has influenced them to have those attitudes in the first place. It means that many of the defining traits of their personalities have been driven by their surrounding culture. Should this be surprising when it's been more or less a foregone conclusion forever?

I too believe that is the reason for their findings. I don't think I am naturally like people from my area, but I'm influenced to be so. NJ is a miserable cesspool in many ways. There are too many god damn people, especially on the road. A large part of the population is physically ugly. People are arrogant, aggressive, cut-throat, and deceitful. There are times where I seriously hate where I live, and all of the people around me. In the end, this also shapes and reflects on my personality, because I'm surrounded by these scumbag people. That's why we're "unhinged and temperamental." Living in NJ is a rat race to the bottom.
