slade v3.1.0 beta 3 not starting

whenever i try to start up slade, i get this error.

here is the folder of it.

can i please have some help?

I assume that this for Slade-3.1.0_b3-159

In my case the 7z file extracts to



the res folder is essentially the slade.pk3 file from older Slade3 versions.

Other than that, are you sure you have installed the correct Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime.
I believe the official download requires the 2012 Runtime and the download from DRDteam requires the 2005 runtime.

The msvc files in your folder may not be the official Microsoft dlls.

Do you have an old computer? I do and I couldn't run official Slade releases because they used SSE2 optimizations, which my CPU doesn't support. The DRDTeam builds are built differently and work for me though, might want to try those.

The official builds (not development) still use a pk3.
