Memfis Posted March 18, 2014 Do I understand this situation correctly? 1. after rising sector 3, during the search for the next step to rise Doom stumbles upon linedef 10 facing the latest step 2. however, that linedef 10 belongs to an already active sector 2 so it is skipped 3. another linedef 13 facing the latest step found, all OK this time 4. it rises twice because apparently skipping a linedef means increasing the height of the next step??? 0 Share this post Link to post
TimeOfDeath Posted March 18, 2014 Seems like it, wonder what the code says. Flipping linedef 10 makes it rise "properly". I can't find the rising stairs section of the doom wiki, but when it searches for linedefs for the next stair on an adjacent sector with the same flat, does it use the lowest numbered line? 0 Share this post Link to post
Memfis Posted March 18, 2014 I found some info on doomwiki here: http://doomwiki.org/wiki/Linedef_type#Stair_builders and yeah, it says that it examines linedefs in the numerical order. 0 Share this post Link to post
