Handling of lights on slopes

Recommended Posts

I don't know why there would be a problem, but from the way ZDoom does slopes (pull the sector up/down to meet a line), ZGL could possibly treat light coming out of a slope like it is coming out of a flat surface. I don't have any technical understanding of it, really... Just expressing a concern...

Heh, just a little confused as to what you mean here... Maybe give an example and maybe a few more specifics on the effect you mean?

Heh, sorry, I forgot I even posted this.

OK: Light fades as it gets farther from its source, right?
From a flat floor, the light would fade out at the same point as it shines upward, right?
But from a slope, would the end of that fade stay parallel to the slope of the floor or ceiling?

It would be so much easier if I had somewhere to post a diagram.
