How can I change the definition of my map to something other than "map01"?

Can I have my map a custom name? I'm not sure what to do, I'm asumming it has to do with MAPINFO

If it's ZDoom, your map can be named anything you want it to be.

Else, it usually has to be MAP01 through MAP32. MAP33 in some instances, not entirely sure what lets you reach that.

You open your map in the Slade editor, go to Archive->New, name your new entry Mapinfo, and put

"Map map01 your-maptitle"

Remember to make a backup of your wad first.

If you want to omit "Map01" there's a way for that too, the Wad Stronghold did that..
