Simple really I WANT CSDOOM MASTER BACK UP. Zdaemon is shite

I pinged 170 steady in csdoom servers. I ping 257-314 fluctuating in zdaemon. Zdaemon is shite. Funny considering it should be better than csdoom.

More like a step backwards.

Fluffster, Tedster, etc. Zdaemon does not cause higher pings than csdoom, it must be that you are connecting to zdaemon servers which are more distant, "ping-wise". I've hosted both csdoom and zdaemon on rarefiles and connect to them just the same. I never did see what effective difference there was in zdaemon and csdoom, although I did get kicked from csdoom games and that does not happen with zdaemon.

I ping 257-314 in ALL servers on zdaemon biffster, where as in Csdoom i pinged 170 in the vast majority of servers. Alot of users have noticed this also, not just me.

Mosta the CSdoom servers are in Europe, mosta the Zdaemon servers are in the US, depends on where you're located

Fluffy, is the csDoom master server permanently gone then? Cos i havn't played doom 4 a few days (since i got Half-Life: Counter-Strike - its an amazing game!), but i will be bak soon.

Not sure matt, every time i refresh the csdoom master list, sweet sod all comes up in the list. So no master csdoom server up yet. But im hoping soon itll be up. PLEEEAAAASSSEE

I live in UK so its good if there were some server for europe/UK? Maybe some UK servers on zdaemon if noone can be arsed to resurrect csdoom?

I think sumthin's rong wiv ur comp cos i just managed 2 play csDoom fine.

I sometimes run a ZDaemon server, but its only for the use of me and DeaN [TiK] cos i only hav a 56k connection (lol), but since ur in the UK 2, maybe u can try and join in sumtime.

READ my post above, you go get IDE, you edit ide.ini, then you add the lines I posted , it refreshes those servers in csdoom, don't make me come up there!

Doesnt work fod, but ill try again. Do the lines go at the very end of the ide.ini file? Then once ive done that what do i do once i get in IDE? Will the servers just show up automatically?

I can get both jupiter se servers in CSdoom working from the old list of servers, but thats it. Which servers can you get working matt? Can you refresh the csdoom master list?

oh shit yeah, i didnt notice that, the only csDoom servers that come seem to respond r the 2 Jupiter[.se] ones and the 2 NGI [FUN] ones. Shit!

Yeh, last I heard Bahdko had taken the PC down that was acting as server, she did say she was putting it back up, but that was weeks ago :(
