Missing key?

I can't find the red key in e1m2. Is it in the map somewhere, only available on coop/dm, or something else, or simply not available at all?

Well now. According to doombuilder the red key only exists in -skill 3 and -skill 4.

I just realized we have a bunch of new Freedoom1 maps that have had little testing.

I have been picking over current maps, I will switch to basic play throughs on all the new maps.

It would be awesome if it were possible to get through all of the maps without cheating.
