h.brick Posted October 17, 2014 On my PC, I usually use GZDoom Builder. I want to use the Mac, but the only editor I found was Eureka -- which Isn't very good. Anything Mac-compatible that's comparable to GZDB or DB? Thanks :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted October 17, 2014 SLADE 3 should be compilable on Mac. If you run into problems, try using Alexey Lysiuk's fork instead. Of course SLADE 3's editor isn't close to be at feature parity with GZDB. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clusterone666 Posted October 17, 2014 You could run Doombuilder through wine and do it that way? You will encounter some problems, but at least you would be able to map. I was able to do it on my old mac, but eventually switched over to PC so sadly I wouldn't be able to help. :/ 0 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted October 17, 2014 Bleh, I tried SLADE3 (compiled by the same person who maintains the OSX GZDoom port) but its editor wasn't quite optimized for Mac, having lots of input glitches. I guess I can recommend Eureka Editor, but it doesn't have advanced port support. That being said, OSX seriously needs a native Doom editor. 0 Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted October 17, 2014 I run Doom Builder 2 in a Win7 virtual machine using Parallels. It performs well on my 2009 iMac 9,1. 0 Share this post Link to post
