Final Doom Textures

Is it acceptable to borrow a few textures from a final doom IWAD in a map without requiring the IWAD in question to run it?

If not, what is a good source for wooden crates?

Technically, it should be illegal to redistribute IWAD graphics.

Practically, cc4-tex.wad ripped off the entirety of Final Doom textures, as well as many other wads (+wads requiring cc4-tex), and there was no problem at all. So, I'd say it is acceptable.
