Heh, most commonly used on walls that are too short/long for the LITE textures. 1 vertex and you suddenly have a smooth angled light.

Because I'm incredibly terrible at organizing my free time. I often don't feel like working (mapping, studying, anything), so I procrastinate for ages - I prefer to do things out of momentary incentives and enthusiasm, anyway. Then I plan to make a short map to make it in time, but it turns out that I've overestimated my skill and that my ambitious map's plans need more time than I planned. That. I'm not proud of that, but what do I do, it seems to be my nature. As long as it's just a leisure activity and nothing serious (affecting my or someone else's life), I'm comfortable with keeping it like that.

Reshade is the new fancy name for SweetFX 2.0. SweetFX is a graphics enhancer for DirectX and now it's also for OPENGL. You can find the beta here.

haha! I assume it was trying to bite a caco and got pushed off the ledge mid-animation?

It was definitely after a caco, though I think it was on the ground originally, then after it got hit, jumped up onto that caco underneath it (it has a leap attack). It's a shame the image isn't a gif actually, because in addition to the biting sounds, it was moving up and down between the two cacos above and below it at quite an incredible rate :P

Oh look, another map based on a one that I didn't finish. I just finished the layout and will do the gameplay next.
I was making it for a limit removing port, so what do you guys think?

I think it looks pretty cool. I'm particularly impressed by the lighting throughout the scene. I mean, the brightness level, the lighting effects on the building and the blue sky all go very well together. Personally, I'd change the height of the surrounding sectors in order to make the STONE texture align better. But that might be easier said than done :)

For some reason right around 7PM PDT everyone dropped out at once, and then it was just three-to-four people (myself included) trying to salvage the game for the next twenty minutes.

It was good fun at first, though.

I showed up about an hour after the server showed up in Doomseeker, and it was pretty damn crazy for quite a while. It's just most everyone left around the same time and it was hella jarring. Still good fun, though.

@Darsycho Reminds me of Screaming Mad George's Something or Other on the PS1... maybe with a touch of Zanzan.

Is that the one where you fight "Sonic.exe" at the end?

If so I think it was nothing short of horrendous, too much time on 2spooky4me detail and not enough time spent on gameplay...

...Or anything good.
