@Zanieon Damn, that is incredible. I would never have guessed that was constructed in the Doom engine. It looks like a render from Ghost In The Shell or Blade Runner.

@Megalyth That's exactly the intention, whenever i'm mapping this area i put Blade Runner or GITS Soundtrack to play, all sources of inspiration will also appear as holographic neons in this map as well.

Making an ultimate doom episode replacer is very difficult. Keep in mind that people will judge you based on the original maps, so dont be surprised if you get absolutely destroyed in reviews. But, honestly, This map reminds me of The Citadel from doom 2, which is a good thing!

In my head it's pronounced "Krah-teez," but the pun is totally intentional. Iirc I was originally going to just call the level "Mystic Fountain of Crates," but I changed it to make it sound less like a joke map. Anyway, whoever or whatever Krates is, they're a big fan of boxes.
