dobu gabu maru Posted June 23, 2018 Made a claustrophobic guest map for that bonkers Team Rocket stream. Spoiler This is literally almost all of the rooms haha 32 Share this post Link to post

I wonder if sprites from Ultima Underworld 1/2 wouldn't work better. Some of the sprites looked off (it is an isometric game) but I thought this one looked good. I'll check those, maybe there's more fitting stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
Apaul27 Posted June 24, 2018 It's for real. The Adventures of Square, and Wool Ball are in one universe. 5 Share this post Link to post
Misty Posted June 24, 2018 I've never released this map, I don't know if I ever will, but screenshots still makes me happy. 18 Share this post Link to post
Halfblind Posted June 24, 2018 @Apaul27 If they are in the same universe they might coexist in different galaxies at the very least. 1 Share this post Link to post

Breezeep Posted June 24, 2018 (edited) I made the mistake of doing did something for @Dragonfly 's Team Rocket endurance mapping session, as a guest of course. 26 Share this post Link to post
Aquila Chrysaetos Posted June 24, 2018 After watching Dragonfly, Jimmy, AD-79, MTrop, and their guest mappers speed map for 16 hours, one would probably be tired of mapping, right? Not me. I had the great idea of doing my own mapping despite how tired I am because I'm an idiot. A shot from HURedux E1M4. The beginning of part 2 of 2 of this map. I want to hurry and wrap this one up so I can get started on E1M5, but I don't want to rush, either. 5 Share this post Link to post
Walter confetti Posted June 24, 2018 3rd shot is so plutonia-ish! Everything looks awesome here... 1 Share this post Link to post
Dragonfly Posted June 24, 2018 I guess it's my turn to share my Team Rocket efforts. Below is 2 shots per map. If an incentive or limitation was in effect, it should say so. :) 1ST MAP 2ND MAP 3RD MAP - Incentive by Antares031 - "Make a map inspired by / using The Blood Rush midi, by Eris Falling" 4TH MAP (Personal incentive I guess - remake e1m1 from memory but with intentional minor deviations) 5TH MAP - Incentive/Specification by Pinchy (I feel like I'd like to re-try this concept again with less time pressure) - No circles or stock textures allowed - Only the 32 grid and 90/45 degrees, however splitting lines for supports is OK - Only stairs for vertical movement - No doors or action lowered/raised blocking walls of any kind except for the exit, map is completely open, room shape and combat is the only resistance 6TH MAP 7TH MAP - Limitation by Remmirath - Build a map without use of the grid. Map similarly to AD79 while making it (draw potions of rooms as unclosed sectors then close them off later) 8TH MAP - Incentive by Ajora - Make a map about Domino's Pizza 9TH MAP - Incentive by Boris - "Draw a map in the shape of a pe... just kidding. Create a 10 sectors map instead!" 10TH MAP - Incentive by Cambertian - "Make a map inspired by this song" All it all I had an absolute blast doing this. While it was very taxing being on-stream for 20+ hours, I would certainly be open to doing this again! 45 Share this post Link to post

Aquila Chrysaetos Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) Blue and green go together really well, don't you think? A newer version with the slope textures changed a little. Looks nicer. Edited June 25, 2018 by Aquila Chrysaetos 17 Share this post Link to post

Always love some fun angles... judging by the shaping, consistency, and size of certain things in relation to the grid, was that drawn orthogonally and rotated? 2 Share this post Link to post

Empyre Posted June 25, 2018 If you use UDMF (maybe requiring the ZDoom extensions), you can rotate the flats to fit the rotated map. 1 Share this post Link to post
Marcaek Posted June 25, 2018 Your collision boxes are going to be affected by rotating the map, I'd personally not bother rotating an entire map like that, and only build areas at odd angles naturally because the whole map is going to be slightly harder to move in as a result. 3 Share this post Link to post
