So, I've been invited to join Elementalism and my first map is surreal/evil tech. I haven't had a proper go at a tech themed level in over 10 years so it was an interesting experience.

That's a high profile project you have been invited to and your work does it justice. I like to see that surreal take on doom maps, as doom had always this weird angle to me, of reality warped by hell and whatever story you can come up with. That surreal hell is the highest demonic level in my imagination,  beyond the fire and brimstone hell, which looks humanly comprehensible still.

@Teder not even parallax can save fireblue. But i do like the floor and ceiling texture

From the 50 shades wad I had the impression that Graytall can save fireblu,  if used sparingly. That fireblu texture is so garish on its own, it needs a "non-texture" for contrast.

Impressive. Thanks for the link.

This was a pretty nice looking hell, but man I screwed up at the end when all I had left were 70 shotgun shells and an angry army of Revenants chasing me everywhere :v .

Good times.

Adding a sound effect to elastic collisions really livens up the mood!

Always imagined that in my head.

Heh, nice! Reminds me of the board game Operation. Are you detecting SlideMove here? Make it do a backwards player thrust, or an upwards thrust to scale walls!

Remember how Wolf-3D had similar feedback when bumping into walls? It's an unused effect in most shooters, and yet it would make it more clear that something is behind you, the absence of which has led to many confusing and frustrating deaths in Doom...

Oh, you mean that sound that was melting my brain by the end of the game? Yeah, I remember it.

It feels weird to work with default Doom palette. This place is for Interception II , if I'll make it in time.
