Doom_Dude Posted September 1, 2019 I probably sound like a broken record but anyways. I have two Vilecore projects on the go. The original Vilecore (from way back in 99 when all the editors were made of sticks) is getting a new coat of paint (fixing stuff like unalignments, inescapable death pits, wrong switch textures, (teleporters, platforms and doors from using oddball textures) and a horde of other issues. I'm adding some new textures, adding the titlepic and level name graphics that were not present in the original release. I'm being strict to not add any new areas and keeping it all vanilla. That's being called Vilecore 1.2 for now. heh. Vilecore 2 started off as what I'm doing with the 1.2 version, but the maps got much bigger, changed a great deal and it became it's own thing so to speak. So now the megawad is a UDMF project with a different map order and now has new maps plus some of the original maps got rearranged. I decided that V2 takes place in the future (50 years or somethin) and stuff changed (I dunno but some UAC janitor moved the secret area maybe). For example there's one map that I completely ripped apart... I mean some of it's still there but looks like some disaster happened... This is Map14, Baron's Causeway showing the same area in the original and in Vilecore 2. I didn't get to this area for the 1.2 version and it'll certainly look better than it does in the first screenshot. I don't know how I managed to do so much with just the one rock texture.
