Post Your Doom Picture (Part 2)

In costrast to my other atistic endeavor which tend to be utterly austere like the original Stanley Parrable, this thing is the most perfect Doom level I have brought into existence so far. Alas, even though it's its own thing, it employs abstraction, an abstraction I could not employ with equal affectiveness through any means other than embedding it as a secret level in another, extremely unrelated megawad that contains none of the outstanding themes seen here and instaed fits the HUD a lot better. And that is why I cannot share this well-honed work of modern art with you. We can only hope its hidden nature only enhances the experience. Perhaps the remaining three levels of the megawad will be completed in not so far future.

When Doomguy finally found a mirror.

I think you missed the pistol, bro. :P

Every time I look at this thread, the odlschool 90's mapper in me feels as if I have been transported to some alternate universe in which a relatively low tech 2.5D engine can do things like I see here. Amazing stuff.

It's like having the ability to start a fire with two sticks, and then using that level of technology to build a cold fusion reactor. Like wtf?

Well, I'm off to continue my not mapping career. Very blessed to be able to play the caliber of levels that regularly appear on these forums.  Thanks so much.

Another new palette is coming to town and this time for Heretic (See spoiler for the screenshots taken in GZdoom softpoly renderer):

I would assume this should also work reasonably well with Hexen?

No, Hexen palette is different than Heretic. It's not like Doom and Doom2 which use the same one.

@Jaska Wow, how did you do that? All vertex slopes?

I used Trimble Sketchup 2017 versions sandbox tool to make terrain. It could't export it to .obj so I had to convert it from .dae to .obj. Then I just imported it to GZDoom (bugfix). And yes, it shows as vertex slopes in GZDbuilder.

Maybe something like Blender could do this straightly?
