I've decided it's time to start working in earnest on Grinning Like An Undertaker, The Amiga Demo Party of Doom. I already have 5 maps in various stages of completion, but all of them are for later, nastier episodes. Right now I'm working on the first episode, going for a traditional progression from easier maps up through the really difficult ones, instead of going at wide-open throttle from the start, the way I originally intended. I don't have the energy for all that stressful playtesting, which is why I changed my mind. I'll start a development thread once I have the first episode finished. Episodes are 5 maps apiece, so it will be up sometime in 2020.

 

These pics are from the current candidate for Map01. Not sure it will make the final cut, but we'll see. It's easy enough for a terrible player like me to max in just over 2 minutes, and a minute or less for UV-Speed. I'm mainly using OTEX along with some CC4 and stock textures.

Yeah it starts of as a model and then gets converted to a sprite

Worked more on the outdoor area. Still figuring out stuff as I go along, especially things you can and cannot do with 3D sectors. I wish I wasn't so slow overall, but it is what it is...
