Also, I'd like to add; when targeting vanilla sometimes it's better not to change light levels so much, as they add visplanes. Although that's not what I'm doing here, it's always a thing I am considering. Lighting is nice, but it'll be one of the first casualties should I need to fix a scene that bombs Chocolate Doom.

Looks very good so far! I was also playing around with those vertex slopes recently, after seeing some nifty tutorial on YouTube.

I just found this today, because I was planning some small hilly area in my outdoor area. Very great tutorial, gotta check out the others as well, as soon as I have a base layout of my map.

Your tutorial was the only one i read and its very good but im working in hexen format so i dont take that much from it.

It applies to Hexen format as well, because the vertex slope things work the same as the UDMF vertices. UDMF only makes it possible to manipulate the vertices' Z-height directly without needing to use those actors.

The more I'm mapping in vanilla format the more thankful I get for limit removing. Also what hell level is complete without something nonsensical like a boat.
