Problem running Heth (Dosbox)

I'm trying to make a map on Heth to remember old times. I can run the initial intro (the one that asks you what you want to do).

But once I try to edit or create a map the screens go black. If I press esc I return to the intro.

I checked with "w" to see if Hexen.wad is loaded and it says that it is.

Any idea of what might be happening? Some years ago it worked with no problems.

BTW I can run Deth just great.

things to try ;
- open the dosbox ini and set the video type to another vga system.
- set the core to something else than dynamic.
- increase the memory dosbox is allowed to use in the mem setting.
