Someday I would love to learn how to make really fast glides like in this Plutonia run and the Scythe 2 Map 03 example glide. :D

Glad you liked it. Thanks!
BTW, I'm going to submit this to tasvideos.org. If someone will make a -viddump of this run earlier than me, post it here, please (unless they need author to post the video himself)

TASVideos accept .lmps now, or doesn't it apply here for some reason?

Yes, they do. But I think it will look weird if there will be my demo and someone else's video in the submission.

It is cool, if you can provide your own encode, but it is not required. Often there is no encode at all and some encoder at TASVideos will provide a temporary encode until the submission is judged after which the final encode is done.

Edit: Watched the run. Good quality and style. Looking forward to the submission, so that I can give a big "yes" vote for it!

As i had already mentioned in some other thread, the only negative thing i can say is the lack of new major discoveries. Back when i worked on plutonia, i didn't really have an access to many demos (except for very old ones), and DSDA wasn't as actively updated with lmps from doomworld threads as nowadays. So i was sure that i missed quite a few big tricks, as i usually tend to do due to being generally short-sighted >:D Also things like void glides hadn't been properly documented yet. So, naturally, i was hyped to see your run completed, hoping to see something along those lines. But maybe i was just too naive in my expectations, and plutonia doesn't really hide anything huge anymore. There are cool little tricks here and there throughout your whole run though, was very exciting to see some of those :>

And goddamn this demo looks amazing. Probably the most aesthetically pleasing movie ever so far? It looks like a work of art, which has been tailored with passion and hard work. Good job on making it that way, while also managing to end up with extremely solid times. This is a great upgrade over my ugly-looking movie, i hope you'll keep making more of those. And yes, you're right in your txt, - the last 5 maps of my run were completely built in a quick and dirty way.

Yeah, this was very pleasant to watch. Regarding new tricks, I was expecting a linedef 461 skip on Map03 (the one that blocks the way out of the blue key area) but Clumsy said that he tried and couldn't do it. I guess not all triggers are skippable in Doom?

Thanks a lot! :D
I've checked some tricks I considered useful, but they were intentionally removed (even some windows' height was lowered to 55, just one unit away from doomguy's height). As for void glides, they just seem pointless because you'll have to get back in bounds.

Sure it is skippable. Basically everything is skippable.

And I am looking to holyhell map05, map starts just 1 teleporter line away from the exit...

With RL (or turbo) it shouldn't be difficult. Maybe the other side is easier, dunno. (Dunno if this post should be in TAS or this thread D:)

Whew. Think I got motion sickness from all the backwards running... and I never get motion sickness from Doom.

Great run, great style.

I think, Sp00kyFox will make a 60fps 1080p encode pretty soon.

yes, you can count on me. I'll upload it in the next few days and post it here.

What's the problem with getting back in?

Yep, at least not using the same geometry. I think I couldn't even get into the momentum-locking jackhammer at the other side of a 1-sided wall (heh). We might need a different magic angle, if it exists at all.
