Welcome to the fourth annual MAYhem: MAYhem 1500!

I'll keep rules clear, concise and simple:

Looking for Boom compatibility, as usual.

Gothic textures is your duly elected resource pack, linked and recompiled courtesy of NiGHTMARE.

The restriction implemented is going to be 1500 lines.
Much like last years 2048x2048 restriction, I hope this can still leave plenty of breathing room for good, detailed maps that don't become to sloogish and overbearing, but still set something up for a little thought and creativity.

You have until the end of the month to submit stuff. And then more stuff happens!

Logo forthcoming, after I do school things!

Also, quality control may be more of a thing this year. We will see how submissions go :]

I vote that Joe-Iyla makes all the textures himself in MSPaint by scratch and that we can ONLY use those.

^Those people who don't map at least show their interest of what they'd like to play (or just see to happen). At this point, it's not clear who will actually contribute and how much he will do so, so it would be undemocratic to exclude anyone from the possibility to vote.

Will there be any other limitations or gimmicks to the maps?

Last year we did 2048 sized maps in addition to the texture pack.

That was pretty much what the first Mayhem was, the only limitation was the texture pack.

Maybe "make a map in the shape of something"? Like previous Mayhem had a caco map. I've always wanted to do a pony map.

An unifying theme (or themes to pick from) would be nice. Just like an Abyssal Speedmapping Session with extended mapping time.

What about remaking dwango maps to single player maps? Any dwango is allowed, not just dwango5.

This is an Abyssal Speedmapping session. It starts at 0500 UTC on May 1,2015. Alfonzo time just lasts a month instead of an hour. :>

I picked CC4 of my own accord two years ago and Nick Baker recolors in 2012. Dick tater ship doesnt work with me at the helm either. But like most dictators, I dont wish to give up the post either.

Also, you imply that this voting will ACTUALLY affect the final outcome, and I'm not just going to use the new Romero resources.

@Tarnsman: The causality is:

Texture pack is good -> Texture pack gets voted -> Texture pack gets picked -> Texture pack gets picked often -> Texture pack gets overused.

Texture pack is not good -> Texture pack doesn't get voted -> Texture pack doesn't get picked -> Texture pack doesn't get picked often -> Texture pack doesn't get overused.

Texture pack is overused as a consequence of being good. Not vice versa. Overusage of the texture pack doesn't make it less good. And particularly, overusage of the texture pack doesn't make other texture packs more good.

Fact: It's certainly much more used than the other 2 packs.
Opinion: I actually don't think it's overused (that much). I've simply adopted Tarnsman's assumption when replying to him.

I would love to see GothicTX combined with the ones found in Crucified Dreams. That could add alot of variety IMO.
