Doom 64 EX rotation sensitivity on keyboard

I don't like the slow turning speed of the player in Doom 64 EX when I use the keyboard. Is there any way to speed it up? I've tried:

bind LEFT "+left 2"
bind LEFT "+left 1 +left 1"

But with no effect. I've tried to change these bindings through console and also by altering them in config.cfg, but it didn't work either way.
