What is the difference between doom builder 1 and 2?

Doom Builder 1 is outdated, I used to use it but basically it is more or less the same thing with older looking graphics, less features and more bugs.

DB1 lacks UDMF and plugin support, which limits the editors usability somewhat, though on the plus side it runs without .NET Framework and the engine configs are easier to modify.
