Flammable Posted May 23, 2015 Before today i was using the old GZDoom Builder of year 2013. But recently i downloaded a newer version of may 2015, i also tried older versions of 2015, and i cant see Sector Bright Mode... Nothing happens when i press B, i can change brightness only if i open sector options in sector mode. And also, i cant even see sector bright mode in menu... Screenshot GZDoom Builder 2015: Screenshot Doom Builder 2 (Dont have the old GZdoombuilder): Pardon me if the question is stupid, but i'm so confused. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kappes Buur Posted May 23, 2015 First go into View Brightness Levels, either from View or the icon, then use B for full brightness on/off 0 Share this post Link to post
Flammable Posted May 23, 2015 Kappes Buur No, still no brightness mode. It only makes me see level of bright, without textures, i cant change value of brightness, like before. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kappes Buur Posted May 23, 2015 Let me try that again 1. Open View Brightness Levels 2. B will turn full brightness on/off 3. In Sector Mode, select a sector and use ALT+Scrollup or ALT+Scrolldown to increase/decrease sector brightness. Note: I had to reassign shortcut keys from CTRL+Scroll [edit] Tip: from Help you can generate a Keyboard Shortcuts list 0 Share this post Link to post
Flammable Posted May 23, 2015 Kappes Buur Yeah, i can change value of Brightness if i press Ctrl and scroll mouse wheel, but the Brightness mode was way better. I guess ill use Doom Builder of 2013, if i cant use brightness mode. DMGUYDZ64 Yes, i know, take a look. And nothing, nothing happens when i press B 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted May 23, 2015 The mode doesn't exist in GZDB, only the actions for it are left. Not sure why it was removed, I guess because it's kind of replaced by the method Kappes Buur described. 0 Share this post Link to post
Flammable Posted May 23, 2015 boris I guess so. By the way, when i press ctrl+T in old builder this menu opens. Is there something like that in new builder? 0 Share this post Link to post
snapshot Posted May 23, 2015 Or, He might just use the Sector Bright mode from DB2, Save his work, and edit anything else with GZDB . 0 Share this post Link to post

The functions have been split up into three menus. Over the years many things have been changed, added to, improved. That was mainly due to user requests and of course MaxEd"s personal preferences. Of course, if you feel that you cannot learn and adopt those changes, then you are stuck with whatever 2013 version you are using. If your curiosity is peaked to know what changes have occurred, then take a look at the Changelog.txt, which came with your latest download. 0 Share this post Link to post
