Did the forums get minor upgrades recently?

I mean for one example I have noticed when people quote my replies they now appear to be highlighted which never used to happen.

I hate to be the complainer but the "said" links look distracting, like you're supposed to click them because they hide information.

Yeah the information is just stored in session cookies, so there's no long-term memory of where you are in a thread (e.g. if you were working your way through the pictures megathread, your browser would "forget" where you were in the thread after your session expired) but it's better than nothing.
