dannebubinga Posted June 25, 2015 Hello. All sounds (music and fx) just stopped working one day. The problem is only with glboom, not prboom. This is how my settings look in glboom-plus.cfg: # Sound settings snd_pcspeaker 0 sound_card -1 music_card -1 pitched_sounds 1 samplerate 22050 sfx_volume 5 music_volume 5 mus_pause_opt 2 snd_channels 8 snd_midiplayer "portmidi" snd_soundfont "TimGM6mb.sf2" snd_mididev "" mus_extend_volume 0 mus_fluidsynth_chorus 1 mus_fluidsynth_reverb 1 mus_fluidsynth_gain 50 mus_opl_gain 50 I might just be stupid, but I'm not good with this stuff at all. I'm using gzdoom for the time being and I'm not having a good time with it tbh. I want glboom back. 0 Share this post Link to post
Archi Posted June 25, 2015 Check out windows sound mixer, it can mute programs. 0 Share this post Link to post
dannebubinga Posted June 25, 2015 I've already tried that. The sound mixer even shows some sort of weak signal from glboom. But there's no sound at all. 0 Share this post Link to post
Archi Posted June 25, 2015 Are sound settings the same as in prboom-plus.cfg? The only difference I've noticed is "pitched_sounds", which is 0 in my config file. 0 Share this post Link to post
dannebubinga Posted June 25, 2015 Yes, they are the same. Tried changing som stuff around, didn't work so I changed it back to the standard values again which didn't solve anything. 0 Share this post Link to post
tourniquet Posted June 25, 2015 Try setting the snd_channels to a higher value like 32, that's the only difference in comaprison to my cfg, besides no pitched sounds. 0 Share this post Link to post
dannebubinga Posted June 25, 2015 Nah ... Didn't work. Downgrading to 2.5.1.3 doesn't work either 0 Share this post Link to post
