Damn, that's good! (Not like your other sprites doesn't, I just couldn't thought of anything meaningful to put in comments, sorry. +)) And I just went through American McGee's Alice textures! I want to use it but alas, can't think of for what. +) (that's why I'm not even asking if I can +)) The mane (crest?) on the back looks kinda weird, though I'm not sure there's anything can be done with it while staying in Doom limits. But what's that thing on the top of its head?

Well, if you think of something, feel free to use it. For the most part, I'm cool if people want to use/edit my sprites in their mod. 

 

The thing on the top of its head is suppose to be the nub. They're not always included on the knight figures, but almost always on bishops, pawns and queens.

The mane could use a little more work.

Thanks you. Well, if I'll ever use it, it'll probably be just an inanimate decoration, or even part of a thematic texture. I'll share it if I'll ever make something good from it.

Ah, that thing. Been ages since I've seen a real chess piece, not interpretation of it.

Happy New Years folks!! I made some in between frames for some heretic weapons. Have not started on the dragonclaw,staff and firemace yet. The gauntlets need a bit more work.

Oh, smooth weapons for Heretic is pretty cool! With some offsets for recoil, they'll look even better!

Speaking of weapons, I made my very first one from scratch yesterday, with the help of a certain tutorial from a long time ago.

I always wanted to add a Spread Gun from Contra.

One thing that bothered me about Cory Whittle's version; chainsaws aren't made with a pull cord on the right side.

That's so cool that it makes me almost sad that I rarely play vanilla for other reasons beyond mere testing. Thank you.

Oh yeah, a proper Grey/alien! A bit too buff for my taste, but considering it's a soldier, it fits. Could be a good replacement for SS troopers on secret levels. As for the death, I'm no sprite artist, so, I guess, something simple like explosion could serve as a temporary workaround.

...was about to write "alas, I have no idea where to use it", but last second thought actually gave me an idea that would perfectly fit current project I'm considering to make. So, double thank you. Also, you were talking about classical X-Com/UFO?

Classic X-Com. I don't really have any experience with the new stuff, much as I have heard good things about them.
Honestly, if I were being true to the orginal Sectoids, they'd be three-quarters or half the size, but I thought down-sizing
the base ZombieFodder sprites that much would look wierd, and a from-scratch tiny humanoid would take longer then my
attention-span.
As for the death sprites, using Skelegant's gray/green aliens and adding a dropped gun to them would roughly work.
