Coolkids Posted July 2, 2015 I like playing games on a huge variety of systems, but I cannot seem to find any good titles for Android phones. Can anyone suggest any? 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted July 2, 2015 I dunno if they work on phones, but The banner saga, Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Dragonfall is on android. And they are very good games. 0 Share this post Link to post
Maes Posted July 2, 2015 Angry Birds? Also, Battle For Wesnoth has been ported to Android. 0 Share this post Link to post
HorrorMovieRei Posted July 2, 2015 Emulators. Everything else either sucks or gets boring fast imo. You might wanna buy an android gamepad though 0 Share this post Link to post
Aliotroph? Posted July 2, 2015 I'm addicted to Pixel Dungeon and its variants. 0 Share this post Link to post
geo Posted July 2, 2015 Candy Crush. I just don't play games on Android even though I have around a hundred thanks to Humble Bundle. It keeps kids busy in back seats. 0 Share this post Link to post
SavageCorona Posted July 2, 2015 Try the Humble Bundle if you're not worried about spending a little money on them. If you're looking for free Android games well tough shit mate. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted July 2, 2015 Google Chrome can be used to look up Porn 0 Share this post Link to post
Krispy Posted July 2, 2015 ^Nice I have only spent money on one app ever: Auralux. The game is free on Google's play store and comes with about 15-20 levels but I needed moar so I bought expansion packs for like $1.50 each. So worth it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Canofbacon Posted July 2, 2015 I like ZigZag. Subway Surfers is alright. 0 Share this post Link to post
wildweasel Posted July 2, 2015 I'm a particular fan of these: Canabalt (paid) - a fast, simple infinite-running platformer that doesn't bog you down with a lot of silly swipe and gesture motions. Just tap to jump. Ending (paid) - A puzzle game inspired by Rogue-likes; there are no levels, stats, or inventory, but you do have to figure out how to get to the level exit while learning the movement patterns of enemies. Probably more akin to something like Deadly Rooms of Death. There's a free Flash demo somewhere. Spelltower (paid) - Since there's no version of Bookworm for Android, this stylish word-game fills the hole nicely. Sigils of Elohim (free) - The tie-in game to Croteam's The Talos Principle (amazing game btw if you like first-person puzzles a la Portal), this game consists solely of the polyomino puzzles that make up portions of Talos. Completing enough of them unlocks rewards in the main game, but it also serves nicely as a simple diversion. The Room / The Room Two (paid) - Myst-like puzzle games where you must unlock mechanical puzzle boxes. Extremely well done, high production values, puzzles are really satisfying to solve. Amazing Breaker (paid) - Launch bombs at ice sculptures and try to blow up as much of them as possible with what you've got. Gimmicks abound. Pocket Tanks (freemium) - Scorched Earth lends itself really well to touchscreens, apparently! Free version has ~50 weapons and no ads; you can buy weapon packs that add more to the rotation. Simon Tatham's Puzzle Collection (free/opensource) - A collection of 16-ish "desktop puzzles" in the style of the Windows Entertainment Pack. Has reasonably good implementations of Minesweeper, Netwalk, and Sudoku, as well as a lot of other ones inspired by pen-and-paper puzzles from magazines. Some games might not work well on smaller screens. Does Not Commute (freemium) - Car-driving game where you guide cars from one end of the map to another. You wind up controlling every car on the road, so stupid moves you make with one car will need to be worked around with the next, et cetera. Free version has all the levels, but won't save your game when you reach a checkpoint. 0 Share this post Link to post
SavageCorona Posted July 2, 2015 Clonehunter said:Google Chrome can be used to look up Porn Available on PC too. Good game 10/10. I also like the variants "Firefox can be used to look up porn" and "Maxthon can be used to look up porn" Maxthon is a browser popular in China for those wondering. 0 Share this post Link to post
Scuba Steve Posted July 2, 2015 I have a game releasing in about a week on the Android app store. I dunno... I think it's pretty fun :P Incredible Baron 0 Share this post Link to post
Avoozl Posted July 3, 2015 You can always just emulate older games but of course you have to buy the emulators. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fonze Posted July 3, 2015 First and foremost: Terraria ^^ (like a 2D Minecraft, but with action, tons of enemies/weapons and shit) Emulators of course. Robbery Bob: sneaking game Grabatron: kinda like a 2D destroy all humans game Worms Armageddon: does this even need a description? Chess: everyone should have Cartoon Wars: many different ones, numbers 1 and 2 are different than the other 2 Minecraft: sucks, but there's that too. For multiplayer, idk if people still play these, but: Pocket Legends: like heavily simplified WoW Project INF: overhead shooter, multiplayer only SAS 3: like INF, but coop and with zombies There's others, but my memory sucks sometimes. You just gotta find a good game then follow the developer. Sadly no good Doom emulators yet to my knowledge... Oh also, everybody needs to have the Doom Live Wallpaper! The little Doomguy goes around the screen killing shit until he gets killed. Monsters spawn randomly, but you can drop in items for him or drop in more monsters. The monsters even infight. Shits tight. Also uses an extremely tiny amount of battery, less than any other LW and not noticable, even on my POS-about-to-die phone. But every few times I turn on my phone I catch myself staring at the phone, pondering the Doomguy's fate. It's definitely for Android, but possibly other platforms as well. I searched for it just now and it's tough to find, idk if its still up there but the dev's name is: james gittens. 0 Share this post Link to post

Fonze Posted July 3, 2015 But is it good? Most have such shitty controls with the touchscreen that it's too frustrating to play... 0 Share this post Link to post

Fonze Posted July 3, 2015 I'll wait for my laptop then ^^ And pray for a genius programmer. In the meantime, I'll just continue to watch the Doomguy in my background fight the forces of Hell. Maybe I'll send a couple extra monsters at him to speed up the process >:D 0 Share this post Link to post

SYS Posted July 3, 2015 A friend got me suckered into Clash of Clans. Yes it does have in app purchases and no I've not spent a dime on it. And you can earn the purchasable currency in other ways. EDIT: Fallout Shelter is coming to Android in August. 0 Share this post Link to post
JudgeDeadd Posted July 3, 2015 Scrambled Net is a simple puzzle game, and the only Android game ever to actually get me addicted. 0 Share this post Link to post
