Well, that looks crazy! Very nice. Though I must disagree about map02 24s. Our demos combined time in map02 would be around 24.5, I think. So 23 doesn't look that unrealistic if you really put some effort in it. And maybe we have missed something etc. You just never know! Maybe nanocomputers could bruteforce the shit out of doom one day to truely optimize the maps :P

Probably, because revenant went away in my demo. Also I didn't bump into the red key door and saved 1-2 tics. But I lost some time after the first linedef skip.

Is wobble glide possible on Evilution MAP20? It saves much time, but I can't build it, because max momentum which I can get (with MF50 SL50 TR3 tic) is X: 11.160995 and Y: -29.781647. You can try to build it in my demo.

I don't think so, it's south-directed.

Doom E1M3 has a wobble glide south. Doom2 Map10 has a wobble glide west. Doom2 Map26 has a wobble glide north. Void glide is (north-)east. The map geometry that allows the player to glide is based on the direction he moves.

I always thought a directed bruteforce approach with a map anaylsis beforehand should be possible but maybe only with -nomonsters. with monsters it becomes very dynamic regarding advanced tricks like monster sliding, rocket and archvile jumps. so bruteforcing with that in mind would requie a loth more paths to explore.

neat :). I kept thinking to myself that the RL pit in m06 was skippable via sr50 (so I was wondering why tas demos jumped down there), but that must've been in an old version with different floor heights or something, definitely too far now I think. cool demo!

I just looked at the RJ spot and it seems like if you grabbed the RJ and somehow got back up, it could potentially be faster. Only thing is, I can't find a fast way back up to the platform.

Awesome. This was my very first attempt at built TAS so I was expecting all these improvements except map 4 which really surprised me. idk how i missed that glide there. Also map 3 glide was a good improvement as well.

Overall a very good demo and its nice to see this wad optimized.

Doom II MAP01 "Entryway" UV Speed in 0:04.60 and 0:04.77.

Wow Nice. I wonder how far down this could still go.

Btw i guess its enough inspiration for a d2all ;p

There is already a map1-20 TAS by xepop, which is pretty optimal except for a few things like an instant glide on map02.

Map02 is already done faster in the later versions of the run.
